About Volucris
Volucris Gundog Events was founded by Mark Craddock, an accredited dog trainer with over 30 years experience in training, coaching and teaching professions. Mark has taught in Schools, in Further Education and is a qualified Workplace Trainer and Assessor. In addition to being fully qualified to teach and assess adult learners, Mark is also a member of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT). Membership of this leading body is only offered to trainers that pass 4 theoretical and practical assessments by demonstrating ethical and science based teaching methods.
Managing booking administration and assisting in class you’ll find Deborah Craddock, a qualified workplace trainer and assessor who facilitates class and video learning support.
Our role is to instill handlers with the knowledge, confidence and skills required to train their Gundog. We tell you we can do this, but more importantly, our clients say we can, and our dogs demonstrate that we can. When not training, you will find us doing what we teach. We Pick Up on local Shoots and run our own dogs in Working Tests, Field Trials and a variety of summer competitions.

Why Train With Us?
As dog training is a self-regulated industry, we feel it’s important to demonstrate that we are both experienced and fully qualified to run Gundog events/training days.
We only use modern dog training techniques, a process of careful education, observation and communication. Through positive reinforcement, we capture and shape wanted behaviour so that dogs know what to do in all situations.
Our classes will teach you how to observe your dog and notice cues that help you to understand how they are feeling. This awareness will ensure both you and your dog get the most out of training, building a solid bond and positive working relationship.
