Working Courses Note.
Working Courses are intended for Handlers and Dogs that will be working on Shoots or competing in Scurries/Tests/Trials.
Courses are for Working Spaniels and Retrievers Only.
Please do not book a working course if competing/working is not your end goal.

6 week Foundation courses for working dogs.
Classes teach handlers how to use verbal, body and whistle cues to achieve desired behaviours. Incorporating sit/stay, steadiness, heel work, directional handling, stop whistle, mark/memory/blind retrieves and hunting, courses provide a solid foundation for working dogs. NEW VENUE: OLLERTON
Novice Level 2 Entrance Requirements
For dogs that have foundations in place and are ready for the next stage of their development. Dogs need to have regularly worked in a group class, demonstrated that they have foundations/a good recall and be able to retrieve dummies. Please Note that Starter Pistols are used in Novice Level 2 Classes and above so dogs must have been introduced to shot. We prefer all handlers start at Level 1 so that we can assess dogs. Please message before booking any course above level 1.

Working Gun Dog Intermediate (Level 3).

Our 6 Week intermediate Course builds on Novice Foundations through the introduction of memory/blind retrieves, obstacles and more advanced handling skills.
The course further develops the use of the stop whistle, working with distractions, steadiness around game, hunting and much, much more.
Entrance Requirements
All dogs must be able to sit at a distance of 20m for 1 minute, be steady to thrown dummies and retrieve quickly and efficiently to hand in a group class.
We ask all new handlers to complete our Working Gundog Grade 3 before booking this course.

Sunday 15.00 – 16.00
6 week Perfect Puppy Course.
Our Puppy Course begins with an introduction to Positive Reinforcement Training and quickly progresses to lots of fun engagement activities. During the course, you will learn how to effectively communicate with your puppy and start teaching foundation behaviours including sit, recall and loose lead walking. From week 1, we will demonstrate how to introduce verbal, body and whistle cues to get your training off to the perfect start.
To further assist handlers, all courses include the following training videos:- hand touch, sit/stay, recall, loose lead walking and food bowl exercises. On completion of the course, handlers will receive a Sporting Saint goodie bag and a Rosette.
