Sundays (Foundation Level 1) 9.00am – 10.00pm
Sundays (Foundation Level 2) 11.00am – 12.00pm

Working Foundation 1 – Building Communication

Working Foundation 1 develops the essential skills that every future working Spaniel and Retriever relies on before progressing to more advanced fieldwork.

We focus on creating reliable behaviours through consistency, confidence and structured development. During this programme, we will develop reliable recall, the stop whistle, heel work for the working dog, calmness and impulse control, retrieve foundations, introduction to hunting, handler timing and communication. The programme is about creating reliability before complexity.

Working Foundation 2 – Building Reliability

With core communication established, Working Foundation 2 begins preparing the dog for the demands of the working field. The emphasis moves from learning individual skills to applying them in increasingly realistic environments. During this programme, we develop a reliable stope whistle, develop a hunting pattern, retrieve in varied environments, build confidence over natural obstacles, achieve greater handler control at distance, and develop steadiness with increasing distractions.

Start Date: Sunday 11th October

£120 Level 1 / handler / dog (6 sessions)
£132 Level 2 / handler / dog (6 sessions)

We now build capability with water, woodland, obstacles, real distractions, cold game, shot and advanced steadiness.

Gundog Gold (Puppy Programme).
Spaniels and Retrievers Only

Sunday 15.00 – 16.00

The Puppy Programme is the Foundation of the Volucris Training System, designed specifically for Spaniels and Retrievers. Through Purposeful Progression we build confidence, engagement, motivation and a strong partnership between dog and handler. These early experiences create the foundations on which every future skill will be built.

During this programme, we will develop engagement and focus, build confidence, start recall foundations, introduce retrieving through play, calmness/self control and handler communication.

This is where the journey from Puppy to Field begins.

Venue – Ollerton.
